Transitional Residential Treatment

The Lighthouse of Cullman is a state-certified, non-profit residential rehabilitation center for adult men, established in 1974. Our philosophy of treatment is 12-Step based. Residents of the Lighthouse receive many services including counseling, peer support and daily living skills. The objective of the Lighthouse is to return recovering men to their community as clean, sober and productive members of society. This is done by equipping residents with the tools necessary to maintain sobriety and succeed at responsible living.

What are the admission criteria?

Applicants must:

Be male and 18 years of age or older
Have a current ADMH assessment with a primary substance use disorder diagnosis
Be referred to a III.01 level of care
Have a social security card or computer printout from the Social Security office and a photo ID
Pass a pre-admission drug screen
Have a history that documents recurrence of use at a less structured level of care, or need continued support to maintain sobriety following a more intensive level of care
Be medically and psychiatrically stable and self-managed

How much does your program cost?

Our program includes a one-time admission fee of $250.00, and a weekly housing fee of $150.00, payable after securing employment.

What do I need to bring upon admission?

Pillow and linens for a twin bed
One week's worth of clothing
Alcohol free hygiene products
Towels and washcloths
Laundry detergent
Snacks/drinks of your choice
Current medications
